Ovie Nell's Story
Life
Am I the only one that wakes up, looks in the mirror and sees this stranger looking back at them? I'm 58 but can't imagine how all the years have gone by so quickly. Wasn't it just yesterday when I had this gosh awful sick at my stomach feeling everytime Ricky Blankenship walked by me in 5th grade ... or giggled and melted away when Michael Holden smiled at me or spoke to me in the 7th grade? At Northboro, Mr. Rhodes scared me to death but he sure was cute!
My career days are behind me but I do some substitute teaching in a small east Texas school district. I love it! I watch the kids walking through the hall ways and have flashbacks of walking the halls of Northboro and Palm Beach High School.

nt from a career in the Nursing Home/Assisted Living industry. I enjoyed work as an administrator and miss the daily interaction with clients/residents.
I'm divorced. I have four children, and 5 grandchildren. I've lived in east Texas for 20 years so I guess I'm a Texan now, but I'll always have sweet memories of growing up in West Palm Beach. I've heard it said that no matter how far away you go you'll always have beach sand between your toes. Indeed, that's the way I feel. There is nothing I enjoy more then returning to WPB and walking on the beach. The breeze and smell of the salty air always takes me back.
I live in a small east Texas University town. I still have one in college and I'm trying to decide what to do with the rest of my life.
